Claire Marshall

Work Experience

Claire holds an M.Sc. in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from Trinity College Dublin, and is a fully accredited member of the IFPP and ICP. She offers one-to-one therapy to adults of all ages in person and online/via phone. Claire is interested in how the stories and experiences of our past can shape our present in ways that are unique to each of us. She works with people who may be experiencing difficulties, or feeling stuck, to explore whatever is going on for them as individuals and in their relationships with others, in order to gain understanding and insight. Claire has experience working with people encountering a wide range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship and family issues, sexual and gender identity, eating disorders, major life changes and existential questions, interpersonal struggles, and the pre- and post-natal experience, among others. As a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, Claire’s approach takes into account the person as a whole and supports clients to find meaning, self-acceptance and greater self-knowledge.

Claire Marshall

Work Experience

Joanne has worked in both public and private psychotherapy practice as a student and graduate psychotherapist. She works in a humanistic integrative way, focusing on the client and their potential for growth and self-integration. Methods are adapted based on the client’s needs and what they bring to the room, as opposed to using one fixed method. Joanne has experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, identity issues, trauma, addiction, family systems, abuse, and relationship problems.

Underpinning Philosophy

Although trained in a humanistic manner, Joanne pulls from the integrative elements of her training quite frequently by using methods from psychodynamic, gestalt and existential therapies.
