Qualifications:   

Background: Gráinne is a fully qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist. She is a member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). She has completed a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy with Dublin Business School. Gráinne also holds an Honours BA degree in French and Sociology from University College Dublin.

Work Experience: Gráinne has worked in both community settings and private practice. She has experience working with clients who have a diverse range of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, sexual abuse, bereavement and loss, as well as loneliness. Underpinning Philosophy: As a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist, Gráinne believes that people innately have the capacity for healing, growth and reaching their own unique potential. Gráinne provides a safe, empathic and non-judgmental environment in which to work with clients and sees the therapeutic relationship as paramount in fostering change. She is person-centred in her orientation and offers a tailored approach according to individual needs, incorporating psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural therapy, gestalt and existential elements. This style of practising reinforces the idea that all individuals are unique and “no one size fits all”
