Audrey Farrell
Audrey has worked online, by telephone and face to face. Audrey has worked on the Pieta helpline where she has helped people dealing with various mental health issues from stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-harm to suicidal ideation. Audrey has also spent a number of years working as a Prison Officer where addiction and mental illness were prevalent. Therapy is about addressing these difficulties and working towards meaningful change. Audrey works as an Integrative Psychotherapist and believes that, the client, with support, has the inner resources to find their own answers. Audrey has recently completed a Diploma in Integrative Adolescent Psychotherapy and recently did a placement in a boy's school working with 16 to 18 year olds. Audrey is currently counselling older adolescents (adolescents: individuals aged 13-24). Adolescent years can cause a lot of anxiety and uncertainty as young people try to fit in and navigate their way to a better understanding and acceptance of themselves and the world. "As no one else can know how we perceive, we are the best experts on ourselves"- Carl Rogers (1959).
