He adheres to their code of ethics and professional conduct.

Work Experience: Andrei works in Fairview Therapy centre and Glosna House. Andrei also has fifteen years of experience in the healthcare sector where he worked with young people and their families. Andrei collaborates with TUSLA to provide bereavement training and education for healthcare professionals. Andrei has received his psychoanalytic training at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. He has focused on helping individuals to improve their mental health and to work in the alleviation of a range of personal difficulties. His areas of expertise include trauma, loss, grief, bereavement, anxiety, self-harm, addiction, eating disorders, stress, depression, gender issues, sexual identity, relationship difficulties, phobias, chronic fatigue, loneliness and isolation. He uses a psychoanalytical approach to help people to explore how the unconscious mind affects current relationships and patterns of thought, emotion and behavior, especially in the context of continually experiencing loss and traumatic events.

Underpinning Philosophy: Andrei has a particular interest in helping people exposed to loss and trauma, to become aware of the underlying sources of their difficulties, intellectually and emotionally, and to develop coping skills that would allow them to deal with the realities of their life situation. He offers a talking therapy which rather than trying to get rid of the problem allows individuals to come to understand the experiences which have shaped their lives and are affecting their ability to deal with current difficulties. This understanding has
the aim of helping them to bring about a major change in their whole perspective on life.

Andrei charges €80 per session. Each session is 50 mins. Booked sessions are to be booked and paid for in advance. Cancellation policy: minimum 72 hours notice required.

Work Experience

Joanne has worked in both public and private psychotherapy practice as a student and graduate psychotherapist. She works in a humanistic integrative way, focusing on the client and their potential for growth and self-integration. Methods are adapted based on the client’s needs and what they bring to the room, as opposed to using one fixed method. Joanne has experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, identity issues, trauma, addiction, family systems, abuse, and relationship problems.

Underpinning Philosophy

Although trained in a humanistic manner, Joanne pulls from the integrative elements of her training quite frequently by using methods from psychodynamic, gestalt and existential therapies.
