Why people trust us

People Trust Us

In 1999, Fairview Therapy Centre was established as a Counselling and Psychotherapy practice in the Fairview and surrounding north Dublin area. Since our foundation, we have continued to thrive and have a well- respected and trusted practice of professional, highly trained counsellors and psychotherapists. At Fairview Therapy Centre, we pride ourselves on offering top-quality psychotherapy, counselling, and psychological services.

The team of therapists working at Fairview Therapy Centre are committed, hard working professionals who have developed an excellent professional reputation both with their clients, other professional colleagues and allied healthcare practitioners working in the mental health sector. Each therapist working for our centre is fully insured, qualified and Garda vetted to work in this profession. They are members of a professionally recognised association such as IACP, IAHIP, APPI, IFPP, PSI, ICAT or equivalent.

With years of experience in the provision of psychotherapy, counselling, and psychological services, our team of therapists is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. We also understand the importance of building strong relationships with our allied partners and colleagues, and we have worked hard to forge these links over the years.

About

Work Experience

Joanne has worked in both public and private psychotherapy practice as a student and graduate psychotherapist. She works in a humanistic integrative way, focusing on the client and their potential for growth and self-integration. Methods are adapted based on the client’s needs and what they bring to the room, as opposed to using one fixed method. Joanne has experience working with issues such as depression, anxiety, identity issues, trauma, addiction, family systems, abuse, and relationship problems.

Underpinning Philosophy

Although trained in a humanistic manner, Joanne pulls from the integrative elements of her training quite frequently by using methods from psychodynamic, gestalt and existential therapies.
